Your Photos: Safe With Me
The photo backing-up process
So if you don’t know much about me, there is probably one thing that you should know.
I take my organization game very seriously.
For example, when it comes to scheduling something as simple as lunch with a friend, I have a color-coded calendar for EVERYTHING that I need to do in a day. Most people who see my calendar usually look at me like i’m crazy. But if i’m honest, I don’t know what I would do without it.
Instead of remembering everything and going about it with less organization, I’m able to just live day by day checking my calendar to see what needs to be done. Or what I have planned!
In my head, I do the stressing and planning early on so that I can go into things with a clear mind.
And so this same thought process leaks into how I go about making sure that your portraits are more than safe with me.
First off, as soon as I am finished with a photoshoot, there are times where I will go to eat out with a friend or my amazing assistant (my hubby). And if you ask any of these people I’ve met up with after a shoot they will tell you that I absolutely walk into these restaurants with a big ol black backpack. With no shame as well because those photos I have taken are now worth my whole life.
I then come home and immediately get to curating the photos from my SD card to then be backed up onto a hard drive. Never saved to my computer to keep my computer running swiftly!
I edit the photos from my hard drive and once I have completed the gallery, I back everything up onto a second hard drive.
So yeah, I’m your super-organized & safe photographer!
Uniquely yours,
Chloe Conlin
