What's up weirdo?

How boring would life be if everyone was the exact same?

…Pretty boring if you ask me.

You know, the things that I think are most interesting about a person are the things that are unconventional. The things that they may think are weird but in reality are probably the coolest things to know about them.

Oh, you like to paint in your free time? You think it’s weird that you sing out loud in your car to work and back all by yourself? You dance when no ones looking? God forbid you enjoy a little whimsy hobby instead of always thinking about work.

These little weird habits of yours, make life special. They’re what leave spare paint on your hands or leave you with a little crack in your voice from screaming a favorite song. Personally, it’s ‘Your Love Is My Drug’ by Kesha.

These little moments deserve to be shown off. Not so literally, (unless you want to) but in a way that makes you feel seen.

Maybe to show off your art, we can use paint at your photoshoot. Love to sing? Maybe we’re taking photos at home with a karaoke machine. It’s not so literal, but implied.

There are so many elements of photography that tell a story as well. The colors, the textures, the spacing, the props, the location and outfits. It all says so much in the scheme of time. I mean, look at how we look back on historical photos of people. Thinking, why in the world did they wear something like that? Or, “oh god, not the mullet again.” Things like this tell a deeper story, if your looking out for it.

So yes, we need to stop putting ourselves in boxes. The world needs a little more whimsy, and yes, from you too.

So go be weird (it’s cool now).
